Hi,
When I started following along (using v2.78c), I quickly got stuck because the wind field seemed to have no effect. Slightly moved the field on global Y and rotated about 4 degrees around global Z, and it started acting as expected. I saw something like this mentioned once in another tutorial, and maybe it is worth mentioning again - others might face the issue.
