Both x and y settings on this panel scale the viewport on the y axis but you seem to gloss over that. How do you scale the view along the x axis (change its width)?

stephensamuels I think I know what you mean in that when adjusting both X and Y values, only the vertical axis of the frame changes visually. As far as I know, that's just how Blender solves the adjustment visually. You simply need to set your desired x and y values and then adjust your camera's position to frame your shot the way you want. Don't count on the x and y value adjustment to maintain the desired framing automatically.
OK, thank you. Not sure what value it adds when trying to switch the camera view from landscape to portrait though.
