apply to scale

hello i was wondering if you could help me?

in object mode i pressed control a and apply to scale and for some reason it manupilates the basic model and becomes deformed. i have used 3 modifiers so far...

mirror

solidfy

subsurface at 2 view 

and ive also subdivided x1, flipped normals(control n) and smoothed the object.

i can not start sculpting because of this and error at the top bar as you pointed in the tutorial. please how can i solve this problem? i would be very grateful!

    Your solidify modifier is dependent on the scale value of your object, so I'm guessing that's where the issue lies. Generally modifiers are heavily dependent on your objects transforms. You could apply all your modifiers from bottom to top [visually] and then apply the scale.
