The other day, Blender's official guru pointed out that Filmic Blender breaks the Multiply mode in the RGB Mix shader node. That's a showstopper for me. I have too many Cycles shaders that use Multiply to incorporate procedural textures into a shader node tree. The guru says use add instead, but that washes the darks out completely, it looks like ambient occlusion in Add mode, giving everything a flat appearance.

This won’t change how your shaders work, so you’re safe there. And technically it doesn’t break Multiply, but exposes the problems that were already there a bit more. So it’ll still work like it used to, but you won’t be getting all of the benefits of Filmic by using it. Not something I'd worry too much about.Â
