Can the whole sculpting step (in creating a game asset) be done in a different program, like Zbrush for example? Something like, do the model in Blender, maybe a rough sculpting, then export to zbrush for complete detail sculpting and eventually get the model back to blender for the retopology step? Is this something possible/common?

    Certainly, you could use an external app to do your sculpting. In fact my first experience with Blender was importing a Zbrush sculpt to do it's retopology with Blender tools.
