Kent, what type of shading do you have on your 3d view? It almost looks like matcap. I like it a lot!

Kent, what type of shading do you have on your 3d view? It almost looks like matcap. I like it a lot!

    Are you talking about the "headlight" openGl setup? I quickly show you that setup in the user preferences, starting at 9:47. It's basically disabling 2 out of the 3 lights and position the remaining enabled light to the front of the sphere.
