Yes, that is true. If you're serious about digital art, a drawing tablet is kind of a must-have. I started with the Wacom Bamboo because it was cheap and it's still working 8 years later
Isn't it possible though? I've been doing fine with just a touchpad (not even a mouse) and was able to do the Melvin course without any trouble and this course up to this point, but now carving the cracks is not working well. I plan on getting a mouse very soon but I won't be able to get a touchpad for this (when I switch to a windows 10 touch laptop) for a long time. Why are these fine details tripping me up when sculpting has worked fine for me up to this point? Lots of the cracks seem to round when I try to make them.
I've seemed to solve the problem for the most part, but it still seems like your brush has less a greater drop-off of strength, allowing you to make sharp edges quickly, but my brush has less of a drop-off, so when I try to make sharp edges it affects the surrounding area too much.
