I meant that round object with "orbot" written on it that you used in your rendering lessons (I guess auto-correct changed it to "orbit").
The more I think about it, I imagine you did it with the modeling tools and modifiers.
I think Kent calls it Shader-Gizmo ;-)
I read somewhere that Kent first sculpts and then retopologizes all his models, but the shadergizmo looks simple enough to be just box-(sphere-)modeled.
