Hey there Kent, I couldn't figure out how you snapped the vertices at 9:58 can you pleas explain?

Taking the stand-alone vertex, I enabled "Vertex" snapping and hit G + Y to constrain the vertex's movement to the Y axis, then hovered my mouse over to the adjacent vertex that I wanted to snap to so they would be aligned in the Y axis.
