Hi! So, I've had the same issue in 2.78 with the sculpt tools. I've ended up having to keep the ortho view on the X/Z axis (numpad 1) for the cut to work. I changed symmetrize to "-Y to +Y" ("+Y to -Y" works too), and it works for me. It's just not working when the axis is on Y/Z (pressing 3 on numpad). I wonder what's wrong there!

I've been through every one of these settings, and I cannot get the grease cut to work in 2.78.

I notice there are settings in your version that are not present in my version of Sculpt Tools. Perhaps you are working with the modified version? It would be a good idea to update the video with the link to the modified version of the plug in, rather than waiting, or making us go look for it.

Kent put a link to the modified version in the Notes section.

I have to use version 2.76 to get this to work the way I want it to. Blender.org has a link to its previous versions, so you can find 2.76 there.
