small projects in a big project

Question Modeling

hello guys,

i wanted to let you know i want to get back to 3D creation.
I have been thinking about what i wanted but since its big i wonder if its a good idea since i been away for a while to take it slowly.
Would it be wise to work onto a world with buildings nature etc big landshape but instead of putting everything in one file to model things seperatly like a bench, a tree, rocks, flowers, a house, chairs, tables, bed and other stuff for in houses etc...
so that with each thing i model i finally will be able to put everything together for what i really want to make (a big landshape possible with some animation) ?

Hello Yukino. I'd say go small, not big. Even for people who work all the time in 3D, mid to big projects are draining. So start slow and small again, otherwise you run the risk of abandoning the whole thing. I'd go as far as to say not to focus on small things because you have a big scope in mind, I'd say small small, like start watching tutorials again and aim for simple things and as you get more comfortable, you scale up in scope, but slowly. It's not a race or a competition, so you'll be ok.

hello guys i wonder what tutorial might help to figure out how to smooth certain parts of this.
i want to keep the details but want to smooth out certain parts. tryed auto smooth and its not bad but still certain parts are not corectly smoothed out .
as well i wonder what those black things are in the crevices .

Those are shading errors. You probably have double vertices or interior faces or a couple other things. I assume nothing is baked. But again, I suggest you start with Core Mesh modeling, so you get back in the groove. Otherwise you'll be hitting walls and roadblocks over and over again if you try to jump back in all of a sudden. It's like going to the gym after you've been away for a year, you don't start with the super heavy things, you start with the lighter weights, building up muscles again.
