Leaving this for anyone else using 4.5 and later. In 4.5 the Curve to Mesh option received a "Scale" option to change the size of the profile being applied.
To bypass this I have duplicated the "curve to mesh" and "curve circle" nodes, removed the centre track from the "join geometry" node just before the curve to mesh. You can then use the main track as the curve for the new "Curve to mesh" and set the radius differently for the main track and the two support tracks. Finally add a "Join Geometry" node to link the support tracks and the main track and everything will look the same. You can achieve the same thing by using a standard value in the Curve Cirle node and using Scale to adjust between the main and support tracks.
Is there a better way to get the radius in the curve to mesh as an input to the Scale value and avoid having the two join geometry nodes?
Hi Andre AAndreLab ,
I am having trouble following your solution, without re-watching the Course, but if it's working, it's good👍.
Can you use an Attribute for the Radius?

In my view, it seems like a lot of extra nodes just to adjust the scale. If Blender allowed linking the radius directly as an input for the Scale in the Curve to Mesh node, you could skip duplicating and joining nodes, which would simplify the setup and keep it cleaner.
