Hi,
I have several PC running blender in my workshop. Wanna study the possibility of setting up simple render farm or network render in my workshop. Any recommendation which way should I go for? I used to use C4D and tried net render in C4d. It's petty simple.

Hello Vinco. I'm not sure but I think people use Flamenco? Linking you up:
There 2 ways using vanilla Blender.
Setup a shared folder on a network. You will need this for any option you choose.
Option 1: In the output settings set steps to the number of computers you are using to render. Then set the start frame to the computer number and start rendering. For example if you have 3 computers: Steps would be set to 3. On first computer set start frame to 1. On second computer, set start frame to 2. On third computer, set start frame to 3. Side Note: This option doesn't have to render to a network drive. You can render locally and then move all images to the computer you plan to combine the image sequence into a video file.
Option 2: Go down to output panel. Uncheck overwrite and check placeholder. Start rendering on each computer. Unchecking overwrite keeps the computer from overwriting an existing file. Placeholder creates a temporary file for the frame that Blender is rendering. Note: Save the blend file with this setting and you can run it in background mode to get faster render times.
Many thanks....Let me try on that. I just bought a new computer with Dual 5090 and wanna use the previous one for network render. Let me try on that.
