As I am about halfway through working on this video after having my own notes and watching it 3rd time now it is pretty fun and a lot to take in as well doing my first walk cycle. I am not seeing how I should fix every major step as I shouldn't be able to now anyways but I am getting a lot of smaller ah ha moments as I take my time with it. Something that helps me out is I scale all the curves in use in the graph editor channels big and small and see how they affect the character more clearly. This is a lot more work for me for now but also more fun and rewarding.
Scaling the curves is an excellent way to see the result.
You can even do that while the animation is playing ;)
That last part was something I learned from Pierrick Piccaut - after a million years of not doing it.
It just goes to show that you can have those ah-ha moments no matter how long you have animating for.
