i have some weird pitching on side of my black patches
can anyone explain to me why its happening?
i am pretty sure i did everything correct with the video
This pinching is from the vertices in bevel corners.
You might try increasing the subdivision surface render from 2 to 3.
Another thought is that when you brought your soccerball patch seams closer together they overlapped or collided.
I rendered this with one very low powered point light and a 2k hdri.
As you can see there is a tiny gap between my soccerball patches.
Another possibility is that you have double vertices, so M to merge by distance and see if it helps.
And remember, it's always a good idea to begin again. You'll most likely see where you made the mistake and it'll etch into your memory super clear so next time there's way less chances of repeating the mistake.
