Grease pencil surface drawing

When I switched to "surface", I noticed that the distance was 0 meters. The drawing was coming out weird, like I wasn't getting a full stroke out of my pen - fancy a digital pen running out of ink. So I shook my mouse hoping to get more ink to the LMB - no dice.

I changed the offset to .01 meters. Seemed to correct the issue. Not sure if I should be reporting stuff like this here or elsewhere. Somebody let me know what procedure is. Thank you.

    Hi Scott,

I think that's normal; it's probably a form of Z-fighting, when 2 things are in the same place in 3D space, Blender doesn't know which of the 2 to draw.

As soon as you slightly Scale the Object you were drawing on down, all the Strokes will be displayed correctly.

(The default Distance was changed in Blender 4.3, by the way.)

That being said, I think it's a good idea, to ask the Developers to change the default Distance to 0.001, or so. No sure what the best place for that is, to be honest.

A Bug Report would probably work, but maybe post a suggestion on Right Click Select, or ask about it in the Chat...Should be super easy thing to  'fix' I think.

If that doesn't work, I'll keep shaking my mouse. Maybe that didn't come out right.
