So excited to learn and expand my Blender knowledge! Pretty stoked how the Crate came out!
Little by little.. The fine details are going to be a good challenge. Those pedals!! It took a few tries to get the shape right, but the block out is coming along great so far.

Making more progress.
Fenders, seat, chain sprocket, fork bushing and chain guard have been created.
I will have to take the "Tire" course to learn a thing or two about making tires, soon. I am pretty excited with how well me topology is for the chain sprocket. I wanted to show that off a little bit.

Here is my ref photo for the sprocket. I pieced it out (using array mod's for the inner bits) and then created the faces. Each face is a quad amazingly.

Well, I am getting really close to completion on this. There are a few minor tweaks to be made to some of the meshes and add a couple more components.. I may want to fine tune the chrome a little. I would be happy to hear any suggestions you have.
I am thinking about making a variety of different ones now that I have a solid base to change and add different accessories to.

Looking great, Jason!
One thing though, there might be too much chrome; some parts will most likely not be chrome, like the spokes, for instance and the sprocket. And so on...
Having more variety in the materials, will also benefit the visual interest.
But the modeling is excellent!
Thank you, Martin! This is the conundrum I find myself in. When I was applying the shaders, I said to myself, heck this is a lot of chrome. These bikes do have a LOT of chrome on them. Some of them are even ALL chrome. I shared a couple of ref photos to show you. "painting" the fenders the same color as the frame does seem to help offset the chrome a little bit. Perhaps a decent backdrop and HDRI could help the render not look so blowout from all of the chrome?

(chrome overload) 😆
(mostly chrome)

I don't mind the chrome, which totally sounds like the name of a song by a cool band. My mind goes to surface imperfections more than anything, it adds such a layer of realism, specially on the wheels. Also Kent always recommends, and I agree, of not leaving the model on a generic grey background. He gave a lesson about that on the Collab which I always point to if you want to have a look, he made a turntable base for an asset:
Oh my goodness! That image is clearly 'altered', the bicycle is certainly 100% chrome. I have to consider what type of back drop to use for this model. It still needs some work.
