Hello, everyone. It's not the first time I facing this nuance: gradient texture is very small compare to object, despite the fact that all transformations applied and object origin at center. I used to change scale in Mapping node to compensate this affect, but now I would like to ask is anyone know what could be the source of the issue? Thanks

It seems to be working right, since the flags on the color gradient are squished together, that would make your circle shrink. When you're on a bind when it comes to things like that, what I like to do is try it on a fresh scene, where I haven't tampered with objects and stuff, that way I get the raw feedback with the stuff I'm messing with and it's easier for things to behave correctly.

    Hi Alexey HoodZomb ,

Always Apply the Scale of your Mesh Objects, except.... in some cases, like this, for instance!

I am pretty sure, that Kent mentions this explicitly.

    Object Coordinates behave like this:

So, if you have a wall with a brick Texture, for instance, and you Scale it up in Edit Mode (or Apply the Scale), the size of the individual bricks won't change.

Ok, thank you. In this particular case, with gradient texture, it seems that "Apply " action doesn't change anything. I already faced with it in planet scene but decided to coreect it manualy through mapping node,  thought I've mistaken anywhere. I'm using version 4.3.2 by the way

Well, you already had Applied the Scale in the Screenshot you provided, so Applying it again didn't make a difference.

(And Applying or not Applying the Scale shouldn't behave differently between blender Versions.)

So, here we go again, this time with a Gradient Texture and in Blender 4.3.2:

    Gradient.png

Now, you can't un-Apply the Scale, but what you could do in this case, is set the Y- and Z- Dimensions (that are 14.6m in your Image) to 2m, then Apply the Scale and then Scale it back up in Object Mode to 14.6m.

But, of course using the Mapping Node to change the Scale of the Gradient Texture also works (although I'd recommend to try the trick I mentioned, just to get a better grasp of what is happening and why).
