weirdly subidveide mesh connected to vertice

would someone know why it weirdly connects the vertices tothe mesh, it started happening once I started using knige to adjust topology to correct the "small bumb down"

    My guess might be double vertices? Try merging the offending vertices by distance. Either by selecting all and hitting M on the keyboard and then merge by distance, or toggle x-ray and then select the specific verts!

    You have an n-gon there. Subdivision surface modifier works with quads, but tries it's best with n-gons.
