Hi, I am facing an issue while creating a cylindrical product. I made the product and added the labels, but there is a part of the label with honey dripping where I need to pop it out. I have done everything I know, but I was unable to get the proper result. I tried taking a specific part, converting it into an SVG, and adding that to another mesh. So far, everything is good, but when I try to assign it to a curve to make it circular, I am getting mesh issues. I don't know how to make it look proper. Can someone please help me with this?
I added the product i made here so that you guys can have a look.
Well,
If you want it to physically 'pop out', you'll need Geometry, especially, but not only, because it is not going to be flat, but going around the Cylinder.
Often, a Simple Deform Modifier, set to Bend gives better results then trying to use a Curve (but you'll still need enough Geometry).
You could also use a Solidify Modifier with a Vertex Group to isolate it to the 'pop out' part, but again, you'll still need the Geometry.
Maybe, you could get away with faking it, by using a Bump Map.
But by pop out do you mean it in what way? Is it a part of the can where the honey shape needs to be extruded? Or pop out like it is a removable part of the can? Can you give more specific explanations or examples? It is as Martins says, if that honey part is like an extrusion, you would need extra geometry, model that shape into being.
