I'm going to say that playlist feature is super under developed. I have tried creating playlist and it is a hassle and it made me give up. So probably you'll have to create a new playlist and nail it the first time. If you made a mistake, delete it and start over. I might be wrong, but that's what I remember having to do. Hopefully the devs will get to that bullet point on their list soon.
