Will a RAM stick speed up my renders?

For a laptop I have, I'd like to be able to reasonable speed up Cycles renders. The Laptop I believe has its own dedicated GPU, but it's not that fast for basic lighting setups. If I buy an extra RAM stick, is there a way I can use both the GPU and the RAM stick at the same time?

Extra RAM will not do much (if anything) for your Render times, the GPU and its VRAM are more important. Blender will just be able to Render larger Scenes (on the CPU) with more Memory. In general, Laptops are not ideal for Rendering.

What people do are render farms to speed up their renders. They build a stack of computers and use them on a network and they all participate in rendering your image and it goes super fast.
