slower zoom

Question

Hello, I'm still a beginner, so I don't quite find my way here and there.
Can someone tell me why I keep getting slower when I zoom in? and never quite arrive at the object?
bye

I think I know what your problem is. You have an object and you try to scroll to it with the mouse wheel but after a while nothing happens? I think that happened to everyone at the beginning.
It's like with a real camera, at some point the zoom stops. It's best to always select your object in object mode and press the “,” button on the NumPad. Then you focus your view on the object and you can zoom in and out as much as you want from that point of view

Hello. Yeah that's normal. Something to do with the plane of view or the view angle of the viewport camera, or some technical thing like that. The thing is, you can't just zoom all the way in, or you start getting that clipping sluggish movement. What you have to do is re-center your view, so it resets. You do that with the period key in the numpad, keep in mind yo need to have an object selected. You can watch the Blender Basics, everything will be explained there:

    Hi Mike mmike64 ,

When you get (visually) close to the World Origin, the zooming slows down to a halt.

If you have an Object that is between your View and the World Origin, you can zoom all the way past that Object, but if the World Origin is between your Object and the View, the zoom will slow down and stop, before you reach that Object.

On the left, the zooming has stopped (the monkey is behind the World Origin). On the right, we are already inside the monkey's head and can still zoom further (World Origin is behind the monkey):

In other words, you can't zoom past the World Origin.

One other thing you can do (apart from focusing with the NUMPAD period key), is to use a Camera and look through the Camera. The Camera can move 'physically' through your Scene and is not limited.
