Screen bevel removal

Hey I have a kind of strange issue to describe. I noticed my speaker had a slope to it instead of being vertical in the z, well after I applied mirror, joined to console etc. Now when I look from side view ou can see the angle I'm talking about.

I thought it would be as simple as doing a scale back to 0 in one of the axes, but it doesnt like that. I can do a value that's not quite a round number but it's not perfectly below the corresponding vertices. Any idea how to move forward on fixing this? I of course can leave it but I'd like to learn how to modify these back.

How I noticed it:

Trying to scale in the Y isn't successful. Not lined up well:

    Hi TTachy ,

unfortunately, that is quite a mess...You can start over (recommended!! Just the part with the speakers or everything), or Scale each Edge individually in Y to zero (S, Y, 0).

From Right or Left Orthographic view, use X-ray View and for instance Box Select (or Circle Select) to select through the Model and make sure, that you change your Transform Pivot Point to Active Element:

You can delete all those vertices, then select the top ones and extrude down again, that way you have the original vertices exactly aligned again, insted of going one by one and snapping them.

Oh of course! I didn't even think of that, Omar.

Mind you, it looks like those 'top' Vertices aren't all aligned in Y either...

Thank you both! That was a lot easier to redo for both speakers than I originally thought!

Biggest aha was changing to active element for the transform
