Are you talking about selecting specific bones when you've got a number of them overlaying each other? It could be that either there is only one bone (ie there are none overlaying each other where your mouse is at the time of clicking), or that you might be in object mode?

Yes I'm mentioning when we have a lot of bone overlay each other

That's because it's alt+ LEFT click. Unless you are using right click select.

If you keep clicking, Blender will continue to cycle through every selection of the objects that are below your mouse. So for example if you have a cube occluding a sphere and the sphere is occluding a triangle, if you click the cube it will get selected, but if you click again without moving your mouse, blender will know what you are trying to do and select the next object behind which is the sphere, do it again and it will select the triangle. I'm not sure it's the same with bones but I think it is.

Can you record a screen grab video showing us the problem? So it can be easier to understand what is going on.

You see, when I want to choose bone.02 and bone.04 If I use SHIFT It will also choose bone.01 too

Okay I can only think of 2 things.

    1. Go to preferences(Ctrl+comma) then click viewport. Then expand selection panel. Then uncheck GPU depth.

    2. If 1 doesn't fix it then go to preferences. Then click menu icon(3 bars at bottom left hand corner and click reset preferences. It may say restore default preferences. I don't remember the exact wording.

    Solution

    Hi Gin Gin GGin ,

You can Select Bone.02 and SHIFT+Select Bone.04  (or the other way around) in the Outliner.

I don't know, why ALT+LMB doesn't work for you...do you have Emulate 3 Button Mouse enabled, maybe?

    Hi Gin Gin GGin ,

If you are using Mac or Linux, you can set the 'modifier' key for Emulate 3 Button Mouse to the OS Key, instead of the default ALT:

    ALT.png

If you are using Right Click Select, you can also still use this ALT Select menu (because it is then ALT+RMB (Wayne, for instance, uses Right Click Select) and MMB is emulated through ALT+LMB).

You could also consider buying a 3 button mouse, of course.

...there is another thing you can do...change the Shortcut for the Select Menu. It can be found here:

    Select Menu_01.png

Don't click on the x on the right, because that will remove it, but on the Button that says Alt Left Mouse. You can always change it back, you'll get two 'restore' buttons, one for the shortcut you changed and one for the whole section:

    Select Menu_02.png
