How to improve my bump texturing in Cycles

Question Materials and Textures

Hi!

I'm trying to simulate a perforated packaging effect in Cycles.
I like the results in EEVEE, they look very similar to the real world.
But in Cycles the effect lacks highlights/reflections on the edges of the perforations. How can I fix this?
Many Thanks!

    Hi Boris,

Maybe lower the Distance (and/or Strength) in the Bump Node, for the Cycles version...Also, Lighting has a huge impact on how Bump looks, so make sure the Cycles uses the same Lighting (it doesn't in your images).

I'm with Martin, it's all about the lighting. You like the Eevee results because of what the HDRI is doing with the lighting. Most likely is one of the default Blender ones. But in the Cycles one you are getting some nice shadows at the bottom, you can see the kinda M shaped indent.
