Follow Path Constraint on Linked Armature

Question Animation

I'm trying to create a follow path bone constraint on a linked armature (from a separate .blend file) with no bone constraints in the original file. I've created a Library Override for the armature, but it doesn't want to allow a constraint to be attached. Does anyone know if this is possible?

When you say "you linked the armature", how did you do it? If you went in the armature folder that that's the problem. If you linked the armature object or linked a collection with the armature in it then you're good. In most case you want the mesh to come along so collection method is the best. Once you make the library override select the armature and ctrl+tab to switch to pose mode, select the bone, and then click the bone constraint tab(The chain link with a bone icon at the bottom) of the properties editor. You can also use the shift+ctrl+c hotkey just like normal.

Hi Dwayne - The armature is connected to some objects inside of a collection, which is then linked to another scene. I make a rookie mistake - forgot to go to pose mode after selecting the objects, then selecting the bone. Thanks for reminding me! It all works now!

    Cheers!
