Time Portals- A Blender Animation About One Bouncing Ball

Polybooks

Here is my biggest animation project yet. Time portals is about the same bouncing ball activating traps on itself as it is caught in a loop through time. Maybe the glowing cube has something to do with all of it? I would appreciate any thoughts as this took 2 and a half months to make with my mentor and all! Did all the animation work myself and the materials others made, but I did animate the portals opening, lights flickering, and camera movements, and of course the bouncing balls!

That is a super cool idea and well implemented. And to tell you the truth, it's kinda scary. What if time is really like that and you're stuck living your life over and over and you don't even realize it. I'm totally getting existential vibes watching that. Good one Brandon.

yea i love all the science fiction stuff for sure so I love that I can finally put some of the ideas to use even with a simple bouncing ball! I have thought about that even on a grander scale like when the universe or multiverse dies as a whole it just rebirths itself and everything goes exactly the same way again, or not. Or when you dream are you just living another version of yourself from another universe? and stuff like that. I am a open mind with a lot of that for how life works.

    Hi Brandon, nicely done!

    I really like the visuals!

The thing is, and this is probably on me, it is absolutely not clear to me, from the animation that the ball is time traveling...I don't understand how time is flowing in the video and it's not even clear to me that it's only one ball.

But, like I said, I still like the result👍🏼

It's more like the ball is stuck on a loop, influencing itself over and over and condemned to do it for eternity. Sort of like the Snake snake Ouroboros, biting its own tail.
