Hey guys,
I can't seem to find solution for this. I have a metallic, reflective object what I want to look like silver but once I place it in the colourful environment it obviously reflecting the environment colours too. (I've found a way to remove the colours from the object reflection but not the object itself) Anyone knows a way to desaturate the object? Attached Test File
Many thanks in advance.
Sounds like a job for the Light Path Node. You can probably search for videos of it on YouTube, but I like this very old one that goes super in depth:

It's a super hack, but sometimes you need the artistic freedom and break the rules of physics.
This is not going to be as simple as using the Light Path Node, because the Ground is also reflective.
You'll probably have to dive into Compositing if you want to do this in Blender.
Luckily CGCookie has recently released an excellent new Fundamentals of Compositing for blender 4.2 by Sean Kennedy (as well as 8 other updated Fundamentals Courses: CORE). Along with many other new Courses, so you might want to consider getting a Subscription, it is really worth it at the moment.
Many thanks Omar, that old tutorial actually helped me understand more the Light Path node! Turns out instead of the object, I had to use that node on the background and the reflective floor too and it works perfectly now. Yea, sometimes physically accurate doesn't always look the best, rules mean to be broken sometimes. :D
