HI,
I want to say I have learnt a lot of small things around blender but DEFINITELY help me troubleshoot errors or issues which is major blessing and I thank the teachers and the community.
Now to my question.... what is the difference between Euler and the Quadternion rotation modes. I am current animated a prosthetic arm and want to know the pros and cons from using both.
See video below for better context.

Also I wanted to ask if there any way of labelling or naming keyframes on the timeline?
This is the best explanation of the topic I've seen. Chapter 3 videos 2 thru 5. Are all about rotations. This is a much older version of Blender, but the information is still the same.

And then there is also this article: https://cgcookie.com/posts/what-are-quaternion-rotations-in-blender
But you don't have to understand what quaternions are (Nathan Vegdahl doesn't, as he says so himself in the above mentioned, brilliant Humane Rigging), just when to use them.
Thank you Martin and Dwayne for the information I will research this
