Noticed when creating the detail on the latch that you made two loop cuts and then pressed E for offset even, but doing this on my end only evens out the bottom loop cut not the top. Did you adjust the top loop cut later or at the same time?

You are absolutely correct. It evens the bottom Edge Loop to the bottom , or (when Flipping) the top Edge Loop to the top. So:
You can Scale the one that is not horizontal, in Z to 0, but this doesn't happen automatically.
I don't know if or when Jonathan fixes that (in this case it is not important), because I still haven't seen this new Course yet.
