Procedural polka dot material

Question Materials and Textures

Hi there,
I was trying to recreate procedural material of polka dots made by someone. For some reason, my texture is scuffed around the edges. 024-08-27 203537.png024-08-27 203554.png024-08-27 203609.png

The procedural materials and geonodes wizards are Adrian and Martin. I don't know if they will be able to figure it out by the screenshots alone, so maybe you can share the blend file with just the material and object needed to troubleshoot the node setup. That way when they see the post, the link with the blend file will already be here and we are super productive.

    Thank you as usual Omar,

How can I attach blend file here? 3rd party file hosting?

Yes exactly, upload it to Dropbox or Google Drive or any of those hosting services and posting the link. Or yes, Wetransfer works as well.

The Material is a bunch of spheres placed regularly in 3D space and that works great on a Cube, but not on a monkey or bed:

You'd have to Unwrap and use UV Coordinates instead of Object Coordinates, in order for it to work on Surfaces...

(and you don't need so many Nodes as you have.)

Oops, it's getting late for me...

    Even simpler Node setup:

But the result for your bed and so, heavily depends on your Unwrapping.

    Oh,

now that I actually glance at your Nodes, you have the Z Scale in the Mapping Node set to 0, so you are not even making spheres, but vertical cylinders and they are intersecting with the bed, giving the result you are showing in your screenshot.
