can't subdivide any higher than 6

just wondered what im doing wrong as I can't subdivide more than level 6 on my object?

    Hi Rob, that is a so-called soft minimum. It is done so that you don't accidentally slide the slider too far and freeze or crash blender. You can type a number higher than 6 in the field. But be careful, each Level multiplies the amount of Vertices by approximately 4.

    Yeah our brains are famously super bad with exponential growth, so 4 may not sound much. But it's like the thing that if you could fold a piece of copier paper 27 times, it would be more than 13km thick. To have perspective Mt. Everest is just over 8.8km tall. And then 42 folds would make it as thick as the distance from the Earth to the Moon, so 384,400km. So you're like well I'll just set it to 8 and then boom, Blender blows up.
