it still renders

Hello when my node tree is finished and I click render, Blender still creates the picture like in the beginning. I checked in the output properties compositing and every input and output from the nodes but can't find the problem.

You have the Compositing and Viewer nodes both plugged in at the very end of your node tree? Can you share a screenshot or project file?

Yeah! Definitely sounds like you may have the viewer node while working in the compositing work space, we need the viewer node to view in the compositor and the composite node to render.
Unlike the shader editor with only one output node required.

But if we are wrong, please share a screenshot of the compositing node setup.
If it is correct you can mark the answer as correct to help others who may have a similar issue.

Thanks for the quick answer. Yes they are plugged in, maybe the problem is something different, so I uploaded my blender file too.BLENDER FILE

    Hi Christian pohrerhub ,

Can't load your .blend file ("Missing DNA Block" error...whatever that means 🤷🏼)

If you happen to have a .blend1 file, you could try uploading that...(sometimes works, apparently)

Yeah I downloaded it too and it didn't open either. I uploaded it again and this time I downloaded it and tried it myself, now it opens: DOWNLOAD BLEND FILE

    Solution

Hey Christian, I took a look at the blend file, all seemed okay to me, but it MIGHT have something to do with the Alpha Over node, we think we may have found a bug with the Alpha Over node in helping another student, and there's a slight chance that's what's happening here as well. I made a short video.

Hi Sean, thank you so much for the video. I understand it now, it's no bug, I got it wrong, when you said at 2:32 "when you hit render, (...) it'll skip over and just render the node tree" I thought I can press F12 and Blender somehow uses the node tree to render very fast but you meant that the composter instant changes the image in the render view so my mistake.

Hi Christian, I don't know exactly what is going on, but try this:

Delete the red Render Layers Nodes and change the image from UDIM to Single Image You'll only have to change it in one of the Guitar.exr's, they are linked.

    Compositing.png

    Does that work?

EDIT: Forget that, I see it has already been solved 👍
