Difficulty with addon

Question

I'm trying to install the Density Checker addon. I'm adding TexTools just fine, it's box has been checked in the addons menu. However adding Density Checker the same way doesn't add it to the menu's list. Is there something I'm missing? The only difference between what's shown in the video and what I have is that my zip folder is named "Blender-Texel-Density-Checker-master.zip" instead of "Texel_Density_2023". Is that important?

Solution

Are you using Blender 4.2? That looks like the old menu and it may be causing some troubles. Try installing it in a fresh 4.2 version and see if that solves it.

I'm using 3.2.2. I guess that's the problem. I'll dl 4.2 Thank you.

Solution

It installs fine in 3.6 and 4.2 (and I guess everything in between). You might need an older version of the Addon for Blender 3.2:

Texel Density.png

But, as this Course was made with Blender 4.2, you'd better use that as well...some things are bound to not work in 3.2.
