Adris CORE Progress Polybook

Polybooks
I`m going to use this thread to Document my progress with the new Core series. I don`t have much time after work but I`ll try to make steady progress and hope that this will encourage me to get my lazy ass up in the evening

I made some weird mistakes with some of the edges that made it impossible to use the bevel modifier. I think I should try to do this excercise again after watching a few more videos

    Hey Adrian, still looking good.

Those 'weird' mistakes are probably  double Vertices; those are very common, especially with beginners. They are what could be called 'fatal' errors, but luckily very easy to correct. In Edit Mode, Select all Vertices (with A) and then M > Merge > By Distance. For good measure, I'd recommended to press SHIFT+N immediately after that, to re-calculate your Normals.

Also the most important thing we say all the time is, don't be afraid to start all over again. There's much benefits to starting over than to getting stuck trying to fix something. Keep that in mind.

It has been two weeks since I started this but unfortunately I didn't have much time to finish new exercises. However I finally got around to making the mug from the subdivision-surface modeling chapter.
