Hi! I don't understand the difference between Alt+F (Fill) and F (New Edge/Face from Vertecies). Couldn't we have just used the second option to fill the top surface as well (like we did with each button) instead of linking the surface to the individual button elements? If no, why?
In case that would be possible, how could one connect the buttons to the filled surface?
Alt+F doesn't produce a face based on your selection. It creates triangle(Trigon/ tris) faces. F will create faces based on selection so you could have Tris, Quads, or N-gon depending on what you have selected.
Press Start is not a super beginner course, it's more of an introduction so you see what's possible, so answers may just leave you with more questions.
