Having Difficulty creating Random Colors for the Parametric Buildings

I Have been working through the Cubicity tutorials and am trying to add the random attribute to the brick texture for the parametric building. It works but it is too random. My result is not like the tutorials and I am wondering if I missed a step. My parametric buildings look like this. The colors are random per section not per building. Any thoughts?

    Hi Karen,

It's a bit difficult for me to troubleshoot from that screenshot alone (I must admit, that it's been a while since I've seen this Course). It's probably either the Node setup in the  Shader, or something in the Geometry Nodes.

If you would like to upload your .blend (to Googledrive, Dropbox, or so) and post a link here, we can have a look.

Thank you for responding. The file is on Googledrive and an email sent to support. Hopefully this will work.

    Hi Karen MM0CG ,

Support is not meant for these kind of questions, it is more for Account problems.

If you could post the link to the .blend file here, that would be great.

    Hey Karen,

The main problem seems to be, that you don't have a Realize Instances Node here:

There is some more to be done, but if you go back to this Lesson:

You might be able to solve this.

If not, I can have another look tomorrow.

    1 love
