Light probes wouldn’t be animated they just create “probes” within a level to sample lighting. It’s best to use probes in areas where there are big differences in lighting and where a player would instinctively go through. Light probes are typically used with baked lighting. So if you bake in a lamp and a character (moving object) walks past it the lighting wouldn’t react realistically since it’s all baked in. Light probes are then used to calculate lighting based off the baked lighting to approximate what the lighting on the moving character should be. Hope that clears it up a bit.
