Question Sculpting

Hello or good evening
I have a question:
If I'm doing a portrait and I want to show part of his teeth,
when can I do it? Before or after the retopo?
Any information would be welcome, thank you in advance.

(Move the lips to one side but I lose the symmetry.
Am I making myself clear? )

Raoulette.

As with everything in Blender it depends. If you want to use the teeth as a guide during retopo then before. If you plan to adjust the teeth to the mouth then after retopo. This is just quick rule of thumb. There are other situations that can flip this around.

Yes, it depends. But I'd say do it after the retopo, because if you do it before, then you are committing to an open mouth or smile or what ever shape. But if you do it after the retopo, you are going to have to use shape keys or an armature and you will have more flexibility on the pose and customizability of your model.
