Saving InstaMAT Project

I have loaded the lowpoly and highpoly versions and did the initial bake. I want to save the InstaMAT project at this point so that I don't have to re-bake, and will want to save the project as I go. I tried using "File" then "Save Project" and save the file. When I close InstaMAT, re-open it and open the file I saved, I end up with a cube for my geometry and my tire is gone. What are the steps I need to take to save the InstaMAT project so that if I close the program and re-open it my progress won't be lost?

I'm not totally sure, but I believe you need to save package instead of Save project unless you have a certain payed level. I don't remember at which level you can save project separately from package.

    Solution

When opening a saved project, you should see the name of your project in the left panel (+ assets). Double click the project and it will load in the 3d view.
It may take a second or two to load fully.
