any of you guys know if this is a bug or something i toggled on, only in the solid view and in the shading workspace, every other workspace is fine. I've been racking my brain trying to see if I might of pressed something accidentally.

It looks like you accidentally pressed ALT+B.
Just press it again, it's a toggle (called Clipping Region).
