Live Unwrap shrinks the UV map

Hello, I have a question regarding Live Unwrap.

It seems that after I marked seam, the UV map got smaller? I had to manually click UV > Pack Islands to get them to occupy the whole texture image. On the other hand, unwrapping it without Live Unwrap produced the expected result. Is there something that I missed here?

This is what happened after I marked seam. The UV map got small:

I had to manually select all > click UV > pack islands or UV > unwrap to make the UV map larger:

Okay, I found the culprit. It seems that the empty space in the texture image was occupied by the hidden sphere's UV Map. For some reason Live Unwrap also unwraps the hidden faces in v3.4.1. Downloading another version of Blender resolves this issue.

Your UV island can be whatever size you want, only impact will be the texture density will differ from one another once they are mapped to something. But you have full control of what you want to have more pixel density than any other thing. Your model should have the scale applied so the UV is relative to your model, but yeah, when you unwrap the island can be one size and then when you pack the islands, it will try to occupy the most amount of texture space in the 1 to 1 grid and it will make the islands as bigger, but that is ok, nothing to worry about.
