baking/rendering

Question Modeling

I have a case for a job application. I will be directly translating. They asked me to take shadow and light maps( specular), and then make the adjustments in Photoshop. do you have any idea about it? It is not a technique I use. I think they're implying something I will share below. There are light and shadows and so I can paint on it in photoshop. Do you have any idea what they exactly want and how can I do it? Thank you so much

I don't quite understand, they want you to bake shadow maps? Possible Ambient Occlusion? And then paint over the maps in Photoshop? In what model should you bake those maps? What's the goal with retouching them in Photoshop?

as I heard from someone this is how they work. So it is their workflow. Unfortunately ıdk how to do it. I writing whole sentence.

''For light and shadows on objects, light, shadow maps (specular) should be taken from the program and color, light and shadow editing should be done in Photoshop.''

Well, unfortunately is not something something someone can point to in a few seconds. I guess if you have a CG Cookie account you can start watching the fundamentals. In Blender you can bake the light and shadow information from your 3D model into textures, but again, maybe you can watch the courses on how to do that. Do you have an account here? Also, can you ask them to give you more details about their workflow? Because the Photoshop part would be a different topic though, I can't see why you can't just paint in Texture mode in Blender, but everyone has their own workflow.
