Rendering the viewport with no materials?

Question

Hi there,

Quick question: is there a way to render the viewport look, without any materials at all? Or just screen-recording it? 

I know we can add a very basic/flat material to everything and render like that, or do the trick that Jonathan teaches at the end of the Fundamentals of Shading, but that still gives it lighting and "material" look.

I'm going more for a "Process" demonstration... does that make sense?

    View menu click the Render Viewport option you want. There is a single image, animation, or just the keyframes. Another option is to use the workbench render engine, but that won't have any of the overlays.

    Yes as Dwayne says, this sets of buttons will allow you to render what's in the viewport:
