strange window IOR effect while looking from one side

I followed the steps posted in Victor's question below on how to set up the scene to follow along.

All appeared to work as intended while looking into the room from the outside, but when moving the viewer inside and looking out through the window, the world outside turned into a large sphere. And what is outside the sphere reflects back as if it was a mirror. I'm attaching screenshots to hopefully help explain this.

It appears to be affected by the IOR of the glass BSDF - when I increase the value, the sphere gets smaller, and vice versa.

Is there something I have overlooked here? I've gone through my notes and can't find what is causing this.

    Hi Harris Yeehawcowboyletsgo ,

It looks like your window is just a Plane (without any thickness!). The other possibility is, that your window has wrong Normals (if the window is like a flat Cube, all the Normals should be facing outward.

Yeah that's how it goes with the IOR, there's nothing wrong going on there except for the plane having no thickness. If you make it thick it will behave a bit better, but the IOR will bend the reflections like that,

That's it, spot on! Added the thickness, and checked the normals! Cheers guys!
