Hi!,
I'm new here, so I haven't been through many courses yet.
I wanted to ask, what would You recommend to learn in Blender that can be used in Game Dev?
I was thinking about modeling and texturing.
I'd love to hear some suggestions about topics and courses I can take.
Thanks, Oskar
For 3D games Poly modeling, sculpting, retopology, UV unwrapping, texturing, texture painting, baking, rigging, skinning, and animating. Sculpting is commonly used for characters. Poly modeling is commonly used for props and enviroments. Shading/Materializing is usually done on the game engine side which is why you usually have to baking. If the game uses video or video cut scenes: rendering, Compositing, and video editing can be useful.
For 2D or Sprite based games There's Grease Pencil which has drawing, point modeling, sculpting, materializing/shading, rigging, skinning, animating, and rendering.
Depending on your skill level in Blender (you might need to do some Basics and Fundamentals first), here are some game oriented Course suggestions:
