Hey :)
Have been interested in creating models for years and even though Ive tried its not working the way I planned. Reason is because Im trying to do the big stuff without going through the basics. Want to begin soon but need another laptop just for it because the one I have doesn't have enough space to hold( due to Xcode & Android Studio). Definitely getting a refurbished just like the one I have now. Any suggestions?
Thank ya :)
I always say get the most powerful one that your budget allows you to, you can't go wrong. I like Lenovo and Alienware, the ROG ones I had were ok. But of course Laptops were for doing normalish Blender things, when doing heave scenes and renders those poor laptops sounded like a jet engine. I changed to desktop a while back, thy can handle the brute force and for a better price.
Personally I'd get a desktop. You get a lot more power for the same and maybe even lower cost than that of the laptop.
thehomme Thank ya very much!! A desktop may come out on the cheaper end but I think a laptop may be the way to go that way I can do the courses on the go.
I don't know how you envisage working on this but in my view you can't expect to do this on a lunch break while at work. I'm old fashioned, so for me you need to do this sitting at a desk for extended periods of time - so the need for a laptop is redundant.
I have to agree,
A Desktop will give you far more power for your money, and believe me, working in 3d you're gonna need it.
There are somethings a laptop just can't handle.
Unless you can afford a top of the range mac book pro (Four thousand UK pounds). But remember, upgrading components a few years down the line is not really an option.
adrian bellworthy. Thank ya so very much!!!
I get desktops are a strong option and may consider but I may still go with a laptop. There are times when I may travel and have the urge to play around :)
mmartin bergwerf It's a really smart idea. You and others have giving me excellent advice :)
