Select all objects from collection

Question Modeling

Hi there!

I have four small windows that I'd like to select. The challenge is that each window is in a separate collection, and within each collection, there are three meshes. In the outliner, I have multiple collections, and I'm not exactly sure which ones contain my windows. (I have too many, I can't see them).

Is there a faster way to select the small windows along with their respective meshes? (I tried SHIFT+G, but even if I hold shift I can only move one window at a time).

What I'd do is put them on one collection, that way when I Shift + G, I can selected by Collection. If you have too many collections right now, manually select all the windows part and with M create a new collection for them.

Remember you can assign object to multiple collections(Shift+M). If they use linked data you can use shift+L->object data. You can also select object then in material tab of properties editor select material then in viewport press Shift+L->Material if they share material. You can also assign them a color under properties editor->Object tab->Viewport display panel->Color. Then you can use shift+G->Color. If they have parent/children relationship then you can use shift+[ and shift+]. If the names contain similar parts or pattern you can use select menu->pattern. Use * if the part is in between other letters and numbers. For example *Window* for window anywhere in the name. If it starts with Window then Window*. If it ends with window then *window. If there are spaces on both sides then you don't need the *.
