scale value applying to coloramp

@11h00 once i plug in the node for scale value to the wave nodes the scale is applied to the coloramp bands as well , so my colour bands get really small,

    Hey there! I'm guessing that you're hoping to keep the scale of those coloured stripes independent from the scale of those smaller weaved threads we create, right?

    I think the problem you are running into is that you are using a Wave texture node for both the colour and normal map inputs of the shader. You'll notice at around 08:40 I actually create two new wave texture nodes which I plug into the Normal socket. These are the two that will use that "Value" node input, and we can leave the original Wave texture node alone.

    This screenshot is rough, but you can see at the top of the shader editor is that original Wave texture we created. That drives those colour stripes, and then we create two new Wave nodes which receive that Value input for the normal map. I hope that helps clear things up! :)
